Online Safety

Online safety: At Marksbury we aim to ensure that young people in our care will be responsible users who can stay safe online whilst using technologies for educational, personal and recreational use. Children will be taught how to stay safe through our PSHE lessons where they will cover issues such as keeping safe online, Facebook friends, sharing pictures and online pressures. We will also use the Be SMART online resources (www.childnet.com) to supplement our PSHE lessons, following the guidelines of Safe, Meet, Accepting, Reliable and Tell, which supports children in being discerning users of the internet, recognising reliable sources and knowing when to ask for help from a trusted adult.
